What is live event illustration?

Live event illustration is when I create hand-painted watercolor and ink portraits of guests in real time. It’s both fine art and live entertainment — a memorable keepsake for weddings, corporate events, and trade fairs.

No — I also illustrate corporate galas, trade fairs, fashion events, and private parties across Germany and Europe.

Booking & Planning

How far in advance should I book?

For weddings and busy trade-fair seasons, book 3–6 months in advance to secure your preferred date.

How does payment work?

A 20 % deposit secures your date, with the remaining balance due two weeks before the event. Payment is accepted via bank transfer or PayPal.

Do you sign a contract?

Yes — each booking includes a service agreement outlining all details, timeline, and payment terms, ensuring clarity for both parties.

Event Setup & Process

How much space or setup is needed?

Just a small table and two chairs in a bright area. My setup is compact, stylish, and easy to integrate into any venue layout.

How many guests can be illustrated?

Depending on pace and guest flow, 6–8 sketches per hour are typical. For larger events, I offer post-event sketches completed from photos.

Do guests pose or can you work from photos?

I capture reference photos at the event, allowing guests to enjoy themselves — no long sitting required. I can also work from pre-sent photos for couples or VIPs.

Customization & Artwork

 

Can we add branding or names to each sketch?

Absolutely — your logo, wedding date, or campaign name can be printed or hand-stamped onto the art paper for a personal or professional finish.

What materials do you use?

I work with archival 300 gsm artist-grade paper and professional watercolor materials to ensure long-lasting, vivid color quality.

 

Can we share your work on social media?

Yes — you’re welcome to tag and share images! I respect client privacy and only post approved photos & only of my artworks.

Travel & Availability

Where are you based?

My studio is in Ebern, Bavaria, and I regularly travel for events in Munich, Nuremberg, Würzburg, Frankfurt, and Vienna. I also travel frequently to Berlin.

 

Do you travel abroad?

Yes — for destination weddings or European trade fairs, travel packages are available. Please include your location in your enquiry.
